Sat 05.02- Epic DUMBO Stoop Sale @ The Archway under the Manhattan Bridge w/halcyon DJ's from 11-4pm
Those who visited halcyon 'classic' on Smith St. can attest to our penchant for collecting random bits of human detritus. Yep, we love sifting through other people's junk as much as we love digging crates. There's sublime irony to be found there, trust us. That's why we were so excited when the Dumbo Parents Organization asked us to DJ at their neighborhood-wide stoop sale... sure, it's going to be a great day of meeting people through music and a first opportunity to check out the newly opened event space in the majestic archway under the Manhattan Bridge (which is across the street from the shop)... but the real reason is that being there early to set up the sound system will get us first dibs on all that junk! Mine, mine, mine and all mine!
@ THE ARCHWAY UNDER THE MANHATTAN BRIDGE. F train to YORK ST or the A/C to HIGH ST.

Sat 05.02- Save The Cannibals presents: The Martinez Bros + Argy + Filosonik @ Rebel
Bronx teenage phenoms The Martinez Brothers (aka TMB as they’re affectionately called) have been causing a quite a hubbub and justly so for their seamless ability to honor everything from garage house, mash-ups and minimal bleeps in their charismatic, high-powered DJ sets. After having previously teamed up with Argy on their latest release on Objektivity, “Debbie Downer/Where Is Mr Brown”, the team reunites to recreate the magic. Argy, hailing from Greece, has been influenced early on by the US house scene, and now more recently by the deep dance floors of Berlin's Panorama Bar. These subtle influences can be heard peppered throughout Argy's countless productions on many of techno's tops labels right now, including his back-catalogue of releases and remix on last year’s scintillating Focus on Argy on Poker Flat Recordings. Filsonik, also an Objektivity cohort, will be warming things up right in the spirit of deep.

New Digital Release on halcyondigi.com: Watch TV & The Lovemonk All Stars 'Wild Safari' (Lovemonk)
Watch TV is at it again with this irresistible piece of tropical dancefloor madness, a cover version of Barrabás' classic track from 1972. Wild Safari kicks off in Afrobeat style but soon turns into a roaring mix of broken beats, Caribbean percussion, house, funk and the good Reverend Gene García's chants and rants. Darshan Jesrani then takes the track on in true Metro Area fashion – a 9-minute excursion into disco not disco. Never mind the crisis, here's Watch TV & The Lovemonk All Stars! www.halcyondigi.com
