Our compadres at Art For Progress never let up. Hot on the heels of their participation in halcyon’s 10th Anniversary celebration, they are back this Thursday with their Fall Groove Cruise, an intimate adventure on the NYC waterways featuring food, dance performances and the sophisticated dub stylings of one of our favorite NYC DJ/Producers, Brendon Moeller. That’s progress.

On Saturday, Septemer 19, Carmina Soul returns OUTDOORS in the courtyard @ The Old American Can Factory for the conclusion of this remarkable summer series. This season’s events have been beautiful with acclaimed guests including Simbad, DJ Spinna, Nickodemus, Ismael Kouyate, Mark De Clive-Lowe, DJ OP!, Ge-ology and Daz-I-Kue.
Our friends and Under and Above have put together a free day-long, all-ages event with live music & DJs in the middle of an amazing sculpture garden on Governor’s Island for the closing day of NYC’s 400 year anniversary celebration. Come on, we’ll go Dutch… oh yeah, it’s free.

For the past year House-N-Home has been setting the standard for Brooklyn’s underground loft party scene. The no-nonsense monthly all night dance parties held at a private space in the Clinton Hill area have kept the focus on the music with great sound, great talent and an all-are-welcome so long as you come to dance vibe. In doing so, the crew has gone a long way towards re-establishing ties between NYC’s far too often disparate party tribes.
