Adultnapper [Ransom Note, Audiomatique]
Adultnapper is a shadowy figure drawn from the dark reaches of Francis Harris’ imagination. Born in Las Vegas, raised on punk rock, and schooled in philosophy, Harris went from ³hating dance music,² to establishing himself as a DJ/Producer with a unique sound and a global audience. His often introspective productions defy convention; relying instead on a sophisticated, song-based approach, marked by elaborate swung micro-rhythms, thick musical baselines, complex arrangements and haunting tonal melodies. As a DJ, primarily mixing records, Harris employs precision skills and thoughtful programming to expand upon Adultnapper¹s sonic territory. His trademark emotion-laden excursions have earned him turns at the world¹s most discerning underground events. In 2007, Harris launched Ransom Note, a concept label which, through music, text and imagery, tells the story of the Adultnapper character, an anti-hero who is part creative genius gone awry, part tortured dystopic philospher, part paranoid vigilante outlaw and part Harris himself.

Anthony Parasole [Deconstruct]
Born and raised in Brooklyn, Anthony Parasole has had a lifelong love affair with electronic music. Listening to radio shows playing the early dance tracks from New York, Chicago, and Detroit that really perked up his ears. His earliest experiences at the New York clubs and Storm Raves really blew his mind wide open. Not content to just be another party kid, Anthony began scouring the record stores for all of his favorite tracks. From the late-80’s to the mid- 90’s, Parasole was also huge into hip-hop. His engulfment in this gritty New York street-music is an influence on his style to this day. From 2003 to 2007, Anthony was a buyer at the Halcyon record store. Through Halcyon, a real pillar of the scene in NYC, Parasole made many contacts, and of course, multiplied the size of his record collection by carefully selecting all the best records from the store. He threw the “New Jack City” party at APT with his co-workers at Halcyon, bringing in The Martinez Brothers for the first NYC gig, Slam Mode, MkL, Adultnapper, Nick Chacona, Todd Sines, Brennan Green, and many more. This party really increased Anthony’s exposure in New York, and led to many gigs at bigger clubs, including opening slots for Derrick May, Cajmere, and Layo and Bushwacka. 2008 was a great year for Anthony. He launched the Deconstruct record label with his partner Levon Vincent. DEC-001 “Invisible Bitchslap” by Levon Vincent sold out in one week, and immediately put the label on the map, being charted by Marcel Dettmann, Shed, and Jan Krueger. Hardwax and other influential stores are clamoring for more! Parasole also founded the House-N-Home loft-party series with partner Bryan Kasenic. They’ve already thrown successful parties with Jus-Ed, Brothers’ Vibe, DJ Qu, Fred P, and Adultnapper, and will play host to Move D and other artists from the cutting edge of house and techno music in 2009. Anthony is currently working on a remix as well as his own original production due to come out later this year!

Dj Connie [reSOLUTE/Airdrop/halcyon]
Born and raised in Queens, Connie broke into DJing in 2002, quickly becoming a major contributor to the city’s underground. With a deep fluid mix of forward thinking 4/4 styles and a precise rhythmic sensibility that flows from her alter ego as a thumping rock drummer, Connie is a consistent crowd favorite and a consummate pro who always brings the goods.
Whether it is as resident DJ for Resolute, one of NYC’s hottest roving parties, or in her global travels from Brazil to Barcelona, Connie’s natural talent and tireless dedication to her craft have earned her turns alongside a litany of techno’s most hyped, whom she regularly, but humbly outshines. Riding a stream of milestones that includes a 1st prize showing in the 2006 Village Voice spinoff contest, (landing her a spot at Ultrafest,) a hotly tipped opening slot at the infamous Sunday School For Degenerates event at WMC 2007, and an appearance at Canada’s biggest techno party, Piknic Electronik in 2008, Connie’s profile is steadily on the rise. Never one to rest, Connie uses her own success to inspire other women to enter the male-dominated world of DJing. To date she has privately trained 15 students and in partnership with halcyon, ran “Ladies Night,” a weekly showcase for up-and-coming female DJ talent. In 2009 look out for Connie’s first productions due to drop under the name “conSTAR” for the Boston-based Airdrop imprint.

LionDub [Liondub, Konkrete Jungle, Breakbeat Science]
Music is often referred to as a universal language, however there are many dialects of music and few artists are able to express themselves through more than one.” Liondub is one exception and has “carved out a reputation as one of the top selectors in New York City” by steadily djing reggae dancehall, hip-hop, jungle/drum & bass since ‘91. Liondub has toured with, opened for, and worked in the studio to create an extensive catalog of original music and dubplates with the likes of Damian Marley, Buju Banton, Luciano, Lutan Fyah, Johnny Osbourne, Terry Ganzie, DJ Krush, ?uestlove, Smith and Mighty, Bassnectar, and Aquasky. Recent performances include opening sets alongside Steel Pulse, Sizzla, Israel Vibration, Marcus Visionary, Dj Dara, Dj Hype and Max Glazer. Liondub, a Konkrete Jungle resident of 5 years and the 3rd member of the late Chopstick Dubplate crew, brings roots reggae and current dancehall heat combined with jungle anthems, dubplate specials and exclusive dubwise re-mixes from top producers throughout the world. His performances are soulful and served with precise turntablism. His productions have been called “killer roots dnb burners” by xlr8r magazine and his remix of “NY Runs Red” by Richie Spice has been charted by stateside radio hosts and cained by dj’s worldwide. It’s for these reasons that “Liondub is capable of making the most discerning reggae and jump up crowds whistle and move.
