Two of NYC’s most active house / techno DJs and promoters, Taimur+Fahad are a major force shaping the scene. Their deep DJ sets are a late night staple in NYC’s underground.

They have helmed the Blk|market Membership parties for over 3 years, producing over 60 events that have hosted some of techno’s biggest names and brightest up-and-comers at locales like Celo, Bar 13, LOVE, and a few more discreet secret locations.

Taimur also has previously worked with Larry Ursini of Udder Maddness of Denver, now a NYC transplant, and Memo of Bar13 on the Cheap Sunglasses parties, which have become instant impact events at major techno nodes such as the Winter Music Conference ‘08 , DEMF ‘08 and ‘09 in Detroit, Seattle’s Decibel Festival ‘08, Minitek ‘08 Official Closing Party and San Francisco’s legendary ‘End Up’ club for its 35th year anniversary weekend  These parties are now some of the most talked about in the US. Some of the main acts have been Martin Landsky, Magda, Italoboyz, Glacier Live, Konrad Black, Three, Matt Tolfrey, Jamie Jones, Bruno Pronsato, Mikeal Stavostrand, Derek Plaslaiko, Matthias Tanzmann, Baby Ford, Dixon and Ame.

When Taimur is not busy working on events, he can be found working at halcyon where he is an integral part of the team as he is the main buyer for the house/techno/disco/electro genres of music the shop has on offer. Its no wonder Taimur is ahead of the pack when it comes to new music.
